Radiation. DONE!! Continue chemo life. :)

So many pending posts between the last one and now (coming soon). Didn’t want to jinx myself with weekly updates so they’re on hold. But this was too bittersweet to not put up immediately!

After 28 sessions (Monday through Friday) 5 and a half weeks in Pembroke Pines at 4:35 pm. Same time (when I magically don’t run late), same place, same treatment team… doctors orders are MET! There’s still a way to go for tests and results to see true impact of this and the chemo to be done but at least the actual radiation is DONE!

Looking back I am beyond grateful for the team I found and the ladies who treated me everyday. They were and are amazing! I even got a lovely going away gift… My personalized radiation mask created when I started. Haha I guess I technically do OWN it or at least my insurance does.

I would be lying if I said there isn’t a big sense of relief or sense of accomplishment right now. And I’m sure as well for everyone that got dragged into this one. Driving somewhere every weekday for a whole month at the same time, no matter what, is big. Being able to make any life adjustments to get these treatments. I’m a lucky lady and these milestones make me realize that even more.

Still a way to go with the chemo and waiting for tests and results after BUT a big step in the right direction right now.

-V 🙂
